Instead of expanding expensive SMSC capacity, operators can use the Application SMS Router to create a
bypass of SMSC for such real time traffic. We provide a real time, high throughput message receipt &
delivery system, which connects the software application directly to the MSC on SS7 or Sigtran links.
In a rare occurrence of a failed direct delivery (because an application is offline or a handset is
unreachable), the system can either route the SMS to the SMSC for storage and re-tries, or it can simply
fail the transaction & inform all parties of the failure.
